We hired Sprague to complete a full reconfiguration of an entire floor of our house. As a residential architect, I interviewed several contractors early on and checked references. After our due diligence we selected Sprague and we were extremely glad we did. Their exemplary., client communication skills, on-line job tracking + project management tools and broad-based craftsmanship of their personnel were exemplary. Casey, who was the project manager, coordinated the work directly with the able stewardship of Ian Gleason the field superintendent. Evan, Omar, Ian S and Noah played critical supporting roles for all the trades from beginning to end. We had high expectations for both the workmanship and project management and were very impressed with both. Our drawings set was detailed and comprehensive and the team capably carried out the entire project with tactical precision and grace. Of course, we expanded the scope during the project to include some other components 'While we were at it' but Sprague was unfazed and rolled right along with us through the punch list completion and final payment. Kyrah handled all the financial tracking from the office, and it was transparent and smooth. I would strongly recommend Sprague to anyone considering a carefully crafted, residential remodeling project of any scale in the Greater Wilmington VT area.

    Working with Sprague Construction was a true pleasure across all phases of the project. Beginning with the design process, Petra listened to our vision and was able to flawlessly translate the image in our minds into reality. Her designs and attention to detail are second to none. Even though we couldn't always meet in person Petra's communication was detailed and thorough - the mood boards she sent really helped us understand how she intended to execute our vision, and her ability to find options at different price points allowed us to maximize our renovation budget. The workmanship and craftsmanship on the project are second to none. The tile work in the bathroom is simply exquisite. The finish carpentry is outstanding, and although it's often not thought about, the mud and taping on the drywall is undetectable. Casey is simply amazing. His attention to detail, high standards, and ideas helped us make maximum use of our space and allowed us to maximize the bang-for-the-buck we got from our budget. I can't overstate how excellent Casey's communication was (by phone, text, and uploaded photos) and even though we were at our primary residence for most of the project we always felt like we knew exactly what was happening everyday at the house. To anyone considering hiring Sprague Construction: They are simply the best we have ever found, and we are already planning to work with them when the time comes to renovate our second floor.

   I can't say enough great things about my recent experience with Sprague Construction. They saved me and my family from a disastrous living situation. Previous renovations (done by another local contractor/ builder) were shoddy and allowed for major water damage that was hidden from me when I bought the house, but became apparent shortly after we started living in the house. Handyman demo-d and removed all the water damaged flooring and sub-floor, redid the sub-floor with proper moisture barrier and heat insulation, and demo-d and and rebuilt two bathrooms in about two months. They started and finished exactly on time, and the bathrooms look amazing. Ian and Evan display high quality workmanship (flooring and tiling) and a professional, kind attitude. I also had a great experience working with the design point-person, Petra. She was indispensable in helping me design the bathroom of my dreams, and took many trips all around the area to find the right materials and paint colors. I am thrilled with the final product and now have two perfect bathrooms, beautiful flooring that will withstand all the weather ups and downs, and a new laundry room. Finally, Steve was very professional and transparent about all the details, change orders, invoices, etc... I was always consulted before any changes were made to the original plan. Highly recommended!

It was an absolute pleasure to work with Petra and Casey on our remodeling project. We made complete overhauls down to countertop replacement of 4 bathrooms in a condo in Vermont and could not be more pleased with the outcome. Petra has great design sensibilities, flexibility and made it so easy for us to share our vision and then pick specific items for our bathrooms. She made great recommendations both structurally and re: design enhancements and small touches that made all the difference. Casey and his team did a terrific job scoping out the project, made great recommendations to make our improvements really match our objectives and not fall short. They stuck to their timeline and got the work done within the promised window, including working late and on weekends to make it happen. Casey has a great sense of space and how to make the most of it. Casey also repaired a wall and mounted a TV and did all of the AV work.  Sprague Construction is by far the BEST contractor I've ever worked with. Not only did they show up every day and stick to the timeline, but they were super prompt to respond every time I reached out. As a second home-owner, their online messaging platform made it easy to communicate specifics in writing, and it provided a place for the team to post progress pictures at the end of each day. (They were also very responsive to phone calls for those who prefer that mode of communication). Casey's explanations of every aspect of the job really demonstrated he knew what he was talking about and gave us the confidence that our project was in good hands. Petra was super helpful in communicating the design details and sourcing last-minute materials. I can't say enough how impressed I am with the craftsmanship of Ian and Evan. The tilework they completed is beautiful, and it's obvious they take real pride in what they do.  Steve's guys Ian and Brian finished my new, very large front porch last week and I am SO DELIGHTED with it! They did a phenomenal job every step of the way -- I watched some of it out of curiosity and was constantly impressed by their attention to detail and their incredible work ethic. I had to keep asking them if they wanted water or needed to take a break -- they just worked SO HARD and several days we had 90-degree temps with high humidity. It didn't faze them at all!  Many of my neighbors commented that they were really impressed seeing the porch go up day by day -- Ian and Brian just got so much work done every day they were here. The porch is really beautiful -- a great size at 32' wide by 10' deep with a 6-foot entry area with a couple of stairs, lovely rails/balusters, a corrugated metal roof, lattice to keep critters out, etc.! I have been enjoying it (sometimes with some of the neighbors!) every day since they finished, and I know I will love it even more this fall when we have gorgeous weather for sitting outside.  I have used Steve's company for many projects since 2018 and have always been happy with them. They've taken down a load-bearing wall, re-done my entire kitchen including all the cabinets + new hardwood flooring etc., tiled several areas of my house. Steve himself has been GREAT in answering my dozens if not hundreds of questions over the years. I call on them whenever I need anything done -- their work is always wonderful and affordable too, and that's a very difficult combination. I trust them without reservation -- hard to find this level of trust with some contractors, so I have been very lucky. They are worth waiting for when they have other projects ahead of mine!  Thanks, Steve, Ian, and Brian, plus Kyrah in the office for keeping track of everything! LOVE your work!!

 I hired Sprague last summer to renovate one bathroom in my ski condo, and happily brought them back this summer to renovate the 2nd bathroom. Their entire team is exceptional across all areas. Casey did the initial site visit and provided easy to understands estimates of the work involved and what each bathroom would cost. His communication is outstanding, with daily emails on progress along with project photos. Petra was invaluable on the design side, as I had a rough idea of what I wanted for each bathroom but it was far from polished. She did an amazing job getting to a collaborative vision, and the mood boards made for an easy product selection process.   Their group of tradesmen, including Ian, Evan, and Brian might be second to none in terms of craftsmanship.   Everything was top notch...plumbing, electrical, tile, drywall.  Even the office support was great, with Kyrah managing the billing on a very user-friendly payment platform. So great to have all these amazing folks under one roof at Sprague. They will be my only phone-call for future projects, and to anyone looking for the best-of-the-best, they'll want to make the same phone-call.

 My wife and I needed new flooring and new bathrooms, badly. The carpets were old, stained, & musty and everything in the bathrooms had to be original to the 1969 house. The team at Sprague Construction revamped the place: gutted & rebuilt 2.5 bathrooms, replaced 2000 sq ft of flooring, and found some scary hardwired appliances that needed to be brought up to code. They did an awesome job and I'll be hiring them again for work we need done in the future.

These guys are the BEST! Fast, efficient, good natured, innovative and the highest quality of craftsmanship! Project started just to fix woodshed, however it was too far gone so it came down. I saw visions of new project same time Ian did. He drew up plans the next day and I now have a woodshed and screened in back porch. I wanted them to preserve the integrity of my old house and use as much from the old woodshed as possible, barn siding, windows and church pews that came out of the house when converted from a church in 1836. So amazing! Thank you!

 Ian and his crew gut-renovated two bathrooms and a laundry room, which including moving walls, rewiring, adding lighting and exhaust fans, tiling, building a shower, etc. Their work was meticulous, the tiling work is beautiful, and we're thrilled with the end product. Just as important, their communication was excellent at every step, nothing was too much or too hard, and they worked hard and finished on time. I couldn't recommend them more highly.
