Our latest Wilmington, Vermont kitchen renovation is officially complete, and we are still in awe of the transformation! We started by tearing out the impractical old kitchen and completely reimagined the space. Now, it’s not only incredibly practical for hosting but also a warm and inviting heart of the home. The biggest game-changer was reimagining the floor plan. We turned two never-used doors into beautiful, practical windows. This clever change created a much better flow and space, especially for the new island seating; we completely eliminated that awkward walkway right behind the chairs, making the island a more comfortable and private spot for casual meals and conversation.

We installed stunning, warm cherry kitchen cabinets that bring natural beauty and sophisticated style to the space. The "Cherry" on Top: A gorgeous, dramatic quartz countertop that steals the show! For a truly flawless and seamless look, we used the same quartz for the backsplash and an elegant floating shelf. It’s drama and beauty in one. We also chose a rounded edge shape for the countertop on the peninsula. This subtle design detail creates a softer, more feng shui feeling in the room and helps the walkway into the kitchen feel much less cramped.

Functionality was paramount in every detail. We made sure to include a floor-to-ceiling pantry for maxed-out organization and storage, and even utilized every inch with a practical bridge cabinet over the fridge. The all-new hickory hardwood floors anchor the room, bringing a rustic yet refined feel that’s perfect for the Vermont setting.

To create the perfect, cohesive contrast, we incorporated striking, all-black hardware and a beautiful matte black kitchen faucet to match. The matte black range hood and sophisticated white glass appliances are a chic and unexpected touch that we are absolutely obsessed with. The result is a warm, dramatic, and seamless space where beauty and practicality perfectly meet. We are so proud of this project and can't wait for the family to start making memories in their new kitchen!
