For this condo near the base of Mount Snow, the goal was to finally bridge the gap between a fully renovated home and its one remaining "time capsule"—the original bathroom. While the rest of the unit had been updated to reflect the client's modern mountain style, the bathroom was still stuck in the past with dated textures and a clunky, inefficient layout.

We began the transformation by stripping away the old, cold linoleum and replacing it with beautiful Luxury Vinyl Plank flooring. This choice immediately injected a sense of warmth and organic texture into the room while providing the waterproof durability needed for Vermont’s snowy winters. Next, we tackled the oddly shaped vanity that had previously disrupted the flow of the space. We replaced it with a classic, timeless white vanity topped with elegant quartz, which served as the anchor for a total vanity area facelift. By swapping out the original mirror and lighting for more contemporary, polished fixtures, the entire room instantly felt brighter and more intentional. To lean into a more modern aesthetic while prioritizing functionality, we installed a skirted toilet. This design choice provides a sleek, seamless look and makes cleaning significantly easier by eliminating the dust-catching nooks found on traditional models. To ensure the project stayed within budget without sacrificing the "wow" factor, we made a strategic choice in the shower by opting for a crisp, white acrylic shower pan. This allowed us to allocate more of the budget toward high-impact, large-format marble-look tiles. By running these tiles from the floor all the way to the ceiling, we created a sense of height and luxury that makes the bathroom feel like a high-end spa retreat. The finished space is now a bright, sophisticated sanctuary that perfectly complements the style of the rest of the condo.
